I went to West Launceston Primary, Prospect High and Utas Launceston.

At Uni I studied Architecture and teaching.

Didn’t finish teaching…

Finished Architecture in 1993.

Went to Queensland and worked for a well known Architectural Practice.

Came back to Tas and worked in two practices… then worked for myself.

Went to Melbourne for 17 years.

Owned and ran and Architectural Practice for 10 of those years.

At one point I had a business partner and nine staff.

Not doing that again…

Back in Tas now… Mum and Dad are old. Time to pay them back.

Three years ago, I started A FRIEND DESIGNS.

My Name is A Friend & I design … That’s what I do.

I’m very good at it.

I do keep saying I’m good at ‘Design’.

I have been designing buildings for 32 years.

At some point you recognise what you are good at… and why.
